Our client are a leading multinational company based in Louth. They have a very interesting opportunity available for a Project Manager to look after an IoT project. This role is for a minimum of 6 months but an extension is likely although not guaranteed. Good rates are on offer to the successful candidate.
Job Description
They are embarking on a major strategic project to develop an IoT (Internet of Things) solution for a range of products. This is a complex technical project involving a combination of internal and external stakeholders and project team members. This includes an external company providing consultancy and development resources, an external electronics manufacturer, internal development resource and the use of a contract development resource.
A project manager is required to coordinate the activities of the different teams and team members – and provide comprehensive reporting to the Executive Stakeholders in the project.
Specific activities will include (but may not be limited to):
• Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying / organizing resources needed
• Developing schedules and methods for measuring results
• Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project
• Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
• Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
• Tracking and reporting progress
• Issue Management
• Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products
• Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
• Taking and publishing minutes of meetings and associated action plans
• Producing project status reports – including executive summaries
You will be degree qualified and have experience in managing relevant / similar IT Development Projects. In addition, a keen eye for detail, good client facing skills, an analytical, enquiring mind and an ability to work on your own initiative are desirable skills.
Qualifications:
• A degree level qualification or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Project Management Qualification (Prince 2 – Foundation / Practitioner – or other recognised Project Management Qualification)
Required:
• 5+ years’ experience within a relevant technical / similar role;
• Experience of managing complex projects;

• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to engage effectively at all levels;
• A high degree of flexibility.
• A current driver’s license and own transport is required.
