Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
* Accountable to the Programme Manager, responsible for the project management of infrastructure / network project delivery activities in a self-sufficient manner * Ensure that our clients infrastructure / network project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to quality * Engage with the customer at senior and middle management levels to ensure infrastructure / network project objectives are achieved * Ensure that best practice project management methodology is implemented across all infrastructure / network project delivery activities (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP) * Financial management of all budgets associated with delivery of infrastructure / network projects including execution of profit improvement and cost transformation plans * Own the management of issues and risks across the infrastructure / network projects including identification, mitigation and closure of issues and risks * Ensure that quality and test management processes are implemented across the infrastructure / network projects * Ensure that all of the transition activities of infrastructure / network deliverables into service are completed in advance of the disengagement of the delivery organisation * Ensure that there are sufficient resources in place to deliver the infrastructure / network project portfolio * Monitor and track the utilisation of resources across the infrastructure / network projects * Build relationships with all external suppliers and partners engaged in the infrastructure / network project delivery activities * Generation of additional revenue through change request process within the infrastructure / network project delivery lifecycle * Escalates to the Programme Manager on day to day delivery issues * Escalation point for the infrastructure / network project delivery team on day to day delivery issues and risks * Run the weekly infrastructure / network project review meetings with the customer * Run the weekly internal infrastructure / network project review meetings * Run or attend the monthly supplier programme boards as required Essential Skills (Mandatory) * Five years experience of owning and managing the delivery of complex infrastructure / networks projects on time, within budget and to quality * Experience of building and maintaining relationships at senior levels within customer and internal organisations * Experienced user of, and / or accredited in, a formal Project Management methodology such as PRINCE2, MSP or Six Sigma * Evidence of delivering profit improvement / cost reduction plans to improve the financial position of projects * Demonstrable record of resolving issues and risks that threatened to delay or seriously disrupt the project goals (resource, budget or stakeholder in nature). Desirable Skills * Experience of owning and managing the delivery of complex infrastructure / networks projects on time, within budget and to quality within the telecommunications sector in the Republic of Ireland
