Our client is a world leader in advanced technology equipment and services across a range of industries, including Oil & Gas, Energy and Healthcare. They now have an immediate opportunity for a Project Leader for the full cycle management of customer projects in the area of Instrumentation. This is a full-time permanent position to be based in County Clare.
Responsibilities:
* Acts as primary customer contact for the duration of each project through commissioning; resolves specification issues; handles correspondence; provides periodic updates; ensures customer satisfaction; negotiates/coordinates with Sales staff as appropriate for customer-requested changes (price and delivery); arranges witness tests; coordinates field service activities with appropriate Service Manager
* Manages and reports all financial aspects of the project including budgets, costs, margin, invoicing, and receivable collection
* Develops and maintains project schedule
* Directs and administers project-related activities so as to ensure that projects are completed on-time, within internal and external quality/specification requirements
* Facilitates project closeout reporting and meetings
* Provides leadership to the project team
* Participates in the ITO proposal process on large projects
* Implements continuous improvement through lean Six Sigma quality
Qualifications & experience:
* Bachelors degree (engineering discipline preferred)
* Proven leadership skills in a matrix organization
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
* Solid understanding of basic financial concepts and measurements
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Strong computer skills
* 30% travel required
Desired background:
* MBA / Master degree
* 5 years experience in instrumentation field
* 2 years experience in project management
* Sales and/or customer interface experience
* ERP Software experience
