Summary;
The PS&L team in Dublin is looking for a Program Manager who has the ability to work as part of a high performing technical team which consists of multi-disciplinary functions namely program management and Software Development Engineering. The position requires technical excellence and the ability to work well across geographical regions in a team environment where the emphasis is on innovation, collaboration and execution excellence.

The focus of this Program Manager role is to manage the design and development of games technology and software tool which will help in the international deployment of the games developed by Microsoft Game Studios.
The ideal candidate will excel at planning, analytical problem solving, customer/partner engagement, product execution and delivery.
Responsibilities
Create clear, concise and thorough functional specifications for assigned project(s) that all team members can use to create a finished feature/solution/tool.
Collaborate with representatives from all disciplines to create a realistic schedule to ensure shipment of a quality product feature or tool on time.
Communicate project status and changes in plans to the appropriate audience. Build an effective working rapport with all stakeholders on assigned projects.
Drive technical issues to closure. Review technical designs and drive resolution of design issues.
Ensure the appropriate testing takes place for assigned projects.
Create and foster an innovative environment. Efficiently manage innovation within the team.
Drive technology implementation with distributed development teams as required.
Lead the development team in managing and driving assigned projects from definition to implementation to release.
Work closely with Microsoft Game studios on technology adoption and technology integration. Support and troubleshoot their queries relating to assigned projects.
Support assigned projects with maintenance releases and deployment into other games titles or, potentially, other Microsoft divisions.
Appropriately aligns with peer contacts in PS&L & MSCIS teams in Asia and Redmond to achieve project results, ensuring that deliverables are compatible and fit for market across all regions.
Continuous use of new technology and systems delivering innovative solutions which improves our processes, product quality and ROI.
Accountable for working closely with peers in the team to promote team work, consistency and innovation within the organization
Essential Requirements
BA/BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
3-4 years relevant experience in software development, program management or related discipline. Experience should demonstrate the ability to analyze, organize and integrate disparate information into clear, concise specifications, presentations and plans.
Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: C++, Direct X, Game Development.
Demonstrable experience in driving a software development project from design through to release.
Strong communication skills, ability to influence others
