Key Responsibilities and Authorities:
* Implementation and support of products and services throughout its customer base, according to internal Sops
* Research, deploy and support software products with customisations for specific customer requirements
* Consulting with key customers and advising on best network, hardware, and operating system provisions to support software deployment
* Hardware and software deployment for customers’ servers setting up OS’s (Windows and/or Linux) Apache, PHP, MySql and Java apps
* Assist in the testing of deployment options for software provided by the Company
* Work with QA to develop standard builds of software, Apache, PHP, MySql, scripts, etc
* Management of cloud server infrastructure and software deployments
* Provide direct support to field sales team for technical aspects (Network/hardware/software specification and configuration) of tender submission and sales proposals
* Develop internal documentation and SOPs with respect to deployment and troubleshooting of software solutions
* Other duties as required
Person Specification:
Experience:
Minimum 3 years prior experience in a customer facing role (helpdesk, application support or other) managing web service applications
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good planning and organisational skills
Experience working as part of a team and on your own
Excellent knowledge of networking, hardware, and virtualization environments etc.
Excellent knowledge managing Linux and Windows servers
Excellent knowledge configuring and administering apache, php, mysql, Java
Knowledge of cloud hosting solutions
Qualifications:
Higher level qualification (degree or higher) in computer science or equivalent education and experience
