Our client is a leading software house based in Belfast. This organisation has their European headquarters based in Belfast and has grown this core development site significantly over the last five years. They are currently recruiting for a principal QA engineer.

The successful applicant will be expected to;

– participate in one or more scrum teams as the lead engineer
– to identify, build and implement test tools, test environments, test data and also harnesses to ensure successful testing
– to design, plan and execute functional and non functional testing and automate tests where appropriate
– to develop internal tests using Java and Javascript and other languages where appropriate
– manage any detects and ensure that they are assessed, reported and retested where appropriate
– mentor junior test personnel

The succesful applicant will be a graduate with a related degree with a 2:1 classification and above. They must have software training and testing certification ISEB. Extensive experience with Linux and Windows platforms should be coupled with software development skills in Java. Solid skills and experience with test automation, scripting, and tools e.g. QC, QTP, Xpath, Selenium in an agile development environment is necessary.
