Presales Engineer / Assistant – Contract role PGi West Cork

JOB TITLE: Pre-Sales Engineer Contract role – 4+ months

REPORTS TO: Director of Professional Services EMEA

FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT: Operations

LOCATION: Clonakilty, West Cork

PURPOSE:

To provide end to end solutions knowledge to the EMEA sales community when progressing opportunities to ensure PGi offers the best solution to a customer.

To work with clients to understand and document their requirements and work with PGi teams Product Management, Production Engineering, Network Engineering, Billing, Telco, Pricing to identify and present the most appropriate solution to the customer.

Also to identify and work on new and existing web collaboration opportunities across EMEA, resulting in maximised profitability and revenue for the company.

The role is based in Clonakilty.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working closely with the EMEA Sales Teams to ensure that workable solutions are identified to meet customer requirements, both Web & Audio.

• To accompany the sales team on customer meetings, assisting in the gathering of requirements and the provision of technical advice for large audio and web conferencing opportunities.

• Act as a consultant and position the simplest and most effective solution to the customer with a focus on standard offerings.

• Create a high level Statement of Work (SOW) based on customer requirements and pass to implementation team.

• Understanding the business needs of your prospects, work closely with PGi teams; Product Management, Billing, Customer Services, Production Engineering, Network Engineering & Telco to define solutions.

• Presenting the appropriate PGi solutions at customer meetings, with a particular focus on promoting GlobalMeet and iMeet when available.

• Liaise with our web partners for assistance and support on web opportunities and participate in pipelines review calls

• Keeping well informed of general technical developments, company products and services.

• Maintaining accurate, up to date reporting using the company systems and
providing ad-hoc manual reporting where required.

• Ensuring that your product, technical and market knowledge is kept up to date by reading literature, networking, attending training courses, liaising with other colleagues and sharing unique knowledge with the rest of the company.

• Maintaining a positive and healthy attitude that contributes directly to the working environment of the sales team and the Company.

• Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent knowledge of the PGi product set.

• Excellent knowledge of PGi backoffice applications, provisioning, billing, customer services.

• Good knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, Networks, APIs, VoIP.

• Good knowledge of web industry and products.

• Professional sales Presentation skills to all levels.

• Excellent negotiating skills.

• High quality business reporting and proposal writing skills.
