PMO / Business Relationship Manager – 12 Month FTC

We are currently recruiting an IT Business Relationship Manager on behalf of a well known organisation. The purpose of the role is to develop and manage the IT Business Support Team to support the business in maximising the value they derive from the IT Department. This will be achieved by Relationship Management, Service Level Management and a structured approach to the delivery of IT enabled business projects using a consistent, standard Project Management methodology.

The Role:

This role will include the following key activities:

· Identify and manage the portfolio of IT Projects to be executed throughout the organisation. Providing quality information to decision makers i.e. IT resource implications, budget information and solution recommendations based on business and technology strategy.

· Define, implement and manage key IT processes, e.g. User Management & Training, Project Management, Test Management, Requirements Analysis.

· Ownership of the Project Delivery Methodology with responsibility for its use by project managers. This includes mentoring non-IT Project Managers and directly managing those who manage IT infrastructure projects.

· Managing the relationship with the customers of the IT Department based on a defined, disciplined approach, rooted in the practices of ITIL.

· Day to day management of a team of Business Support Analysts who provide the key link between the business and IT department. Develop these staff continuously improving their effectiveness and efficiency.

· Contribute to the IT Management Team by innovative approaches to improving the performance of the IT Department and the value derived by the organisation from its investment in Information Technology

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

· Degree in an IT related area is preferable it is not essential. .

· PMI PMP certification is essential.

· ITIL v3 intermediate qualification is preferred but not essential.

· Minimum of 10 years experience working in an IT organisation in project management at least 5 of which is in a PMO environment

· Minimum of 3 years business relationship experience
