PL/SQL Developer
Job Summary
My Client, a major player in the electronic trading sector and based in Dublin City centre are now urgently recruiting for a talented database developer.
The successful candidate will play an important role in developing new applications and ensuring a high quality of support for existing systems.
You will be dynamic and proactive and have a proven track record of working in a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
PL/SQL development for new backend projects and existing backend systems.
Production support – static data, error monitoring, problem diagnosis, performance tuning, data consistency.
Dev and test databases support for all application developers – data access, PL/SQL development and code review, development/test database environment maintenance.
Key Skills/Experience
Minimum 5 years PL/SQL Development experience.
Good understanding of data modelling concepts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders, analysts, and other software developers.
Experience in development lifecycle.
An understanding of Linux and shell scripting.
Some experience of backup, recovery.
Any Oracle production DBA experience with 8i, 9i and 10g and C# programming is a plus.
Financial services knowledge is an advantage.
