Performance Test Engineer

Our Client is currently seeking for a Performance Test Engineer for an immediate start in a contract role in Dublin City Centre.

Reporting on progress and issues regarding performance, the successful candidate will be responsible for performance test planning, script creation, scenario building, test execution, results analysis and diagnosis of Microsoft and JAVA technology based Enterprise level Learning solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and execution of Performance test cases, scenario building, execution and analysis.
Working with software developers, system engineers and DBA’s to identify and resolve bottle-necks and optimize system.
Adherence to all QA processes and procedures
Work with outsourced QA partners as part of a global test team
Aid in the setup and maintenance of test environment hardware and software to support the requirements.
Assist with training and support of other internal/external test team members.
Provide performance test expertise to the development team and offshore partner
Work with project bug database and database workflows.
Produce Performance Test Engineering Reports
Some functional testing of application will be required

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or four year degree, or equivalent experience
A minimum of three years Performance Testing experience.
Extensive performance test tool experience required (HP LoadRunner, Borland SilkPerformer, Rational/IBM, Radview, OpenSTA, JMeter etc.).
Requires thorough knowledge of testing methods and the software development lifecycle
Must be highly process orientated
Requires excellent familiarity with Windows, Solaris and Linux Operating Systems and hardware
Requires familiarity with generic Test management systems and defect tracking databases.
Requires good problem-solving and analytic skills
Requires ability to work with minimal guidance
Previous experience working on large scale .Net/J2EE development projects required
Requires strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills
Pro-active, self-motivated, results oriented
Experience working on Learning/Educational Management Systems development desirable
Experience working with outsourced development and QA desirable
Must be a team player
HP LoadRunner CPC desirable.
ISEB/ISTQB Certification desirable
