Main Responsibilities:
* Provide database administration for mission-critical custom and packaged software applications
* Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex database environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications – Enterprise Rapid Recovery
* Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines
* Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database management skills of database administration, Web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis
* Ensure a stable and secure database environment

Essential Criteria:

* 2 to 3 years experience working with Oracle 8i and 9i and 10g on a UNIX or Linux platform in a support role.
* 2-3 years working with the Oracle RMAN tool, using it for backup, restores and refreshing data from a production environment to a lower environment.
* 2-3 years experience moving data using Oracle Export/Import and Data pump utilities.
* 2 to 3 years experience serving in a production support role including a 24×7 on-call rotation.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* 5 years of relational database experience
* 5 Data Modeling (Physical/Logical) experience
* 5 years of experience working with Data Base Administrators and development teams

Desirable Criteria:

* 1-2 years experience writing UNIX shell scripts in support of the Oracle environment.
* 1-2 years experience coding using SQL and PL/SQL in support of the Oracle environment.
* 2-3 years experience supporting Oracle upgrade and patching, oracle Physical and logical Dataguard
* 2-3 years experience supporting Oracle ASM.
* Experience with Data Warehouses and/or Data Marts desirable
* Oracle or SQL certification desirable
