Oracle Database Administrator – Belfast – £38,000
Our client is one of the UK & Ireland’s leading companies with operations across the Island of Ireland. Due to expansion we are recruiting for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator.
Based in Belfast and reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for, managing and supporting our clients Oracle infrastructure.
Main responsibilities
* Â Providing support for Oracle end users
* Working with project teams and business users to analyse business and technical requirements
* Designing, developing, testing and implementing quality Oracle database solutions within defined time scales. These Oracle environments will support development, testing and production
* Supporting and improving the Oracle environments, to ensure 24×7 availability
* Identifying, prioritising and resolving issues
* Managing Database Security
* Performing Oracle database tuning
* Managing Back-up and Disaster Recovery
* Analysing, planning and implementing upgrade projects
To apply the successful applicant must have a proven track record in Oracle development and DBA roles. They should have a proven track record of handling complex issues and driving projects to completion.
* Â Min 2 years Oracle DBA Â experience with strong Oracle 9i,10g & 11g background
* Oracle Replication and Data Guard
* Oracle RMAN backup and recovery
* Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL coding
* Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and system monitoring.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
* Demonstration of successful troubleshooting, problem solving and work planning
* Experience of managing Oracle databases in a 24×7 high availability environment
* Working knowledge of Real Application Clustering
* Working knowledge with Oracle running under Windows 2000/2003 & Linux
