A leading e-commerce business with an international dimension is currently establishing a highly innovative R&D division in Dublin.
There is now an exciting opportunity for an Online Development Manager to join this rapidly expanding organisation.
You will be responsible for the management, direction and leadership of a Java software development function that is capable of building software from original concept right through to production quality.
This role requires an ambitious, technical and innovative individual committed to commercial excellence and delivering exceptional quality within a fast-paced and challenging online environment
[b]Key Responsibilities:[/b]
• The effective delivery of quality software outcomes
• The adherence to a successful and transparent SDLC process
• The management of all aspects of people allocation, deployment and business planning
• Process and skills improvement, and recommendation of new tools and techniques
• Management of systems design and implementation; ensuring compliance
• Constructive assessment of proposed technical architectures for new systems
• Developing broad and deep understanding of the dependencies between, and within key systems (online and batch), including IT applications and networks
[b]Are you the right fit for this dynamic organization?[/b]
You will have:
• 10+ years Java Development Experience
• A minimum of 5 years Product Management experience
• A proven track record of successful project deliverables in a technically and commercially, complex and challenging environment
• A proven successful ability managing development teams; preferably within an e-commerce setting
You will be:
• Passionate about technology
• An expert in dealing with all management teams, stakeholders and clients; selling new concepts and business benefits
• Innovative with good general technical knowledge, and focused on delivering the best solution to the customer
• In possession of excellent leadership skills
