Online Content Editor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experience web content editor to join a national leading brand. This role will involve sourcing, creating, planning, managing quality control, analysis and reporting on quality, optimized online content.

What’s Involved?

• Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver online content in line with the company’s digital strategy.
• Work with the Brand Marketing team on business unit content – planning, sourcing and creation – to ensure that content meets business unit requirements and is compelling and appealing to target audiences.
• Conduct regular business unit content reviews and analysis with relevant stakeholders to determine ongoing audience needs, content needs and current content accuracy and relevancy. Create content plans. Deliver content in line with plans. Provide editorial and content training to Business Unit personnel, where required.
• Optimise content with SEO in mind, to achieve highest possible rankings in search engines. Work with Brand Marketing team and third party suppliers as required on structured SEO audits and implement recommendations. Work with Digital Marketing Manager on SEM planning and implementation to meet business needs.
• Follow the content guidelines ensuring that they are adhered to across the organisation. Review and update guidelines as required.
• Play a proactive role as part of the wider Marketing and Communications team, in the delivery of the Company's Marketing and Communications strategy. Network effectively both within and across teams.
• Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Third level degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
• 2 years relevant experience – managing and creating online content
• Genuine interest, experience and a solid understanding of social media
• Exceptional copy writing skills – examples of work will be requested at interview stage
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
• Experience using multiple CMS, including open source CMS
• Experience sourcing, selecting and optimising images relevant to content
