There is now an exciting opportunity for an Online Build and Release Engineer to join this rapidly expanding organisation.
Your principal responsibility will be the development and maintenance of the Build and Release process across the online business. This is a dynamic, highly transactional environment and this role requires a strong communicator with excellent commercial awareness.
[b]Key Duties:[/b]
• Define and implement process and control for effective Build and Release management
• Ownership of Release coordination, product build, deployment and configuration
• Stakeholder management and timeline communication and management
• Develop and maintain configuration management policy and procedures and promote best practice
• Deployment of applications to production environment with associate configuration updates
• Identify and integrate build system for production releases
• Identify and integrate source control tools to support and provide visibility to the software development life cycle
[b]Are you the right fit for this dynamic organization?[/b]
You will have:
• A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably within a 24×7 e-commerce environment
• Experience in software development, Software Change Management practices, software build technologies, and release management methodologies and tools
• Experience with build and release management tools – e.g. Bamboo, (n)Ant, Hudson, Automated Build Studio
• Scripting knowledge- Pearl, Java, TCL, Ruby, Python
• Source control/Software configuration management (SCM) experience

• Commercially aware with excellent business skills
• Experienced working with external providers, in partnering and in stakeholder management
• An accomplished multi-tasker with highly developed organisational skills
• Passionate about quality and possessing a positive and enthusiastic approach to problem solving
