Company: Our client is the world leader in providing IT solutions to the enterprise and SME market. They operate in more than 40 countries worldwide and employ 20,000 staff. Their European IT Support & Engineering centre is based in Ireland where they support their corporate client’s IT products and solutions. They have additional vacancies on their Nordic and German Technical support teams in Dublin.
Role: As part of their Nordic or their German Security team you will support corporate clients on complex security threat on their softwares. You will be responsible for ensuring that their products are correctly installed and running efficiently, validated security incidents, prevent attack and threats. You will need a strong understanding in networking fundamentals, including a detailed understanding of TCP/IP and other core Internet protocols.
Skills: The ideal candidates will possess business fluent German, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish; have worked with clients in a Technical Security Support capacity (Cert CISSP, GCIA, GCIH) and have the ability to troubleshoot issues with:
• security products
• intrusion detection systems
• Snort/SourceFire, IBM Proventia/ISS, McAfee IntruShield
• firewalls (CheckPoint, Cisco PIX)
Gain: This is similar to a second/third level support role where you will need detailed IT skills, troubleshooting and case management skills to deliver accurate solutions to business customers.
