NEW ROLE Software Manager

New Urgent Role! Software Manager required for the Multinational company based in county Galway. Great opportunity!

Location: Co. Galway
Position: Software Manager

Requirements:
Degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years experience in an R&D electronics management role.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Project management skills
Experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage
Mindset of continuous improvement
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle

Responsibilities:
Prioritize projects and plan resource utilization
Support development and maintenance of Software Development processes
Access software development requirements for new projects and support preparation of appropriate software development plans
HR management tasks such as Annual Reviews and Disciplinary action (if required) will be carried out in consultation with the Department Manager.
Ensure effective management for the definition of the Software Development requirements
Provide technical assistance to project lead engineers
Provide Technical Leadership
Review Software D&D schedules prepared by Project Leaders in order to deliver Software Development output to Project Manager as per agreed Timing Plan
Sponsor innovation and creativity in the development of all products
Give regular status reports and performance metrics for your team, including sub contractors, to the Software Manager.
Adhere to and coach staff to comply with Internal Quality System & Procedures
Keep up to date with new Standards and general market information in the Industry
