Network Support Engineer
Support Engineer
Providing technical support to clients including maintenance, support and installation of hardware/software/networking equipment both on client sites and in-house.
Ability to handle a very busy helpdesk and prioritise workload.
Should enjoy working closely with clients, problem solving and be willing to take responsibility for client support issues within a team environment.
A strong, professional customer service attitude is essential.
Working hours are 9-5.30pm Monday to Friday but as we are a service orientated organisation availability for rostered out of hours support is expected. Some flexibility is expected to meet the demands of our clients.
Provide pre sales support for sales

Good troubleshooting skills essential in order to resolve client issues.
Good communication skills in order to explain solution to clients.
Good documentation skills – ability to record accurately details of work carried out and time record keeping.

Qualifications/Experience
The ideal Candidate must have a 3rd level degree or relevant industry related qualifications and at least 2 years field experience supporting and implementing Microsoft systems

Microsoft Server 2012/2008/2003, Microsoft Exchange 2013/2010/2007, SBS 2011/2008/2003
Knowledge of VMware and HyperV
UTM firewalls (preferably SonicWALL)
Knowledge of backup solutions including Veeam
Thin Client Computing – Remote desktop services/Citrix
Windows XP and Windows 7
Symantec, McAfee & GFI AV products
Wi-Fi Experience (preferably Aruba, Ruckus or HP)
VOIP (preferably Avaya)
Networking including VLANs, Site to Site VPN
Experience of Apple MAC OS.
