Network Services Engineer

Negotiable

Main activities/tasks:
* To work in the Infrastructure team in maintaining day to day services.
* To be involved with infrastructure incident and problem management (IPMT) activities and act as incident/problem manager as required.
* To be involved in the escalation and other key support processes.
* To be involved in capacity planning for Accenture network infrastructure ensuring that it meets business needs.
* To provide input into all required reports both scheduled and ad-hoc.
* To provide input and work on continuous service improvement programs that focus on possible cost reductions, new opportunities and services.
* To work on projects and implementations of new services as required
* To ensure that all work carried out conforms to UKI Technology Services change program
* To ensure that all network infrastructure equipment is asset tracked and records kept up to date.
* To ensure that Remedy is used and ISDM best practices maintained
* Other appropriate duties as required.
* To provide second and third line technical support for a number of OS and software applications including Windows 2000/2003/2008,Windows 7, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware, IIS as well as the administration of UKI organisational units within the Enterprise Directory.
* To provide support for the existing VMWare ESX and ESXi environment highlighting and implementing maintenance that the environment needs ensuring that the environment is functioning correctly.
* Provide support to our printer and MFD estates, have a working knowledge of Equitrac as a print management solution. Also support Equitrac issues and liaising with external third parties to resolve printing issues. Maintaining the printer fleet and looking for opportunities to improve printer performance.
* Provide Hardware and software maintenance and support to our existing server estate including server firmware updates, server patching and software updates.
* To drive the escalation and other key support processes.

Technical Skills
* A good knowledge and experience of LAN/WAN protocols, technology, networking principles and equipment, based on Cisco Architecture. Cisco Certification to CCNA is required, CCNP would be an advantage.
* A good knowledge and experience of IP Telephony & Unified Messaging Systems. In particular CCUM version 5.0 and 8.0, also a good knowledge of Avaya version 15
* A good knowledge of Contact Centre technologies and work experience in call centers.
* A good knowledge and experience with Border Gateway Protocol.
* A good knowledge of VPN based technologies preferably Nortel and Juniper solutions.
* A good knowledge of Microsoft Operating Services and Server Applications; Databases, Backup Software, Web Servers, VMware.
* A good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
* Knowledge of laptop, PC, printer and server hardware fundamentals.
* Knowledge of LAN/WAN and networking principles and equipment, including Cisco Switches, IP Telephony (Voice over IP) and Cisco Call Manager would be desirable.
* A good knowledge of Equitrac Print Management solution.
* A working Knowledge of Blade Enclosures and Blade Technology.
* Knowledge of remote management software such as HP ilo’s and HP KVM’s and Dell DRAC software
