Senior Network Engineer

Our Client (working closely with Allen Recruitment) is a market leader in mobile media technologies, and has an excellent opportunity for is looking for a Senior Network Engineer. The successful Network Engineer will work mainly in a Cisco environment. The primary requirements of this role will include
* Data network design and engineering; Installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting to root cause, and tuning of enterprise data networking equipment
* Assisting the customer in on site acceptance testing.
* Ownership of new projects / products including input to initial proposal, scoping, system design, integration, customer and project liaison.
* Provide input to professional services estimate, statement of work, project plan, design, and functional specification documents.
* Review and prepare technical aspects of client/prospect RFP/RFI/RFQ documents
* Enforce policy, strategic and operational network security guidelines and procedures.
* Stay abreast of contemporary network & security technology and be familiar with various network tools and methodology with a basic amount of supervision.
Person Requirements:
* Minimum of BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
* Ideally Cisco CCNA qualified preferably CCNP or Security accreditation
* Experience in Cisco security appliances an advantage
* Years of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Router IOS and Cisco Switch OS.
* Years experience in enterprise level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc.), and SNMP.
* Detailed knowledge of the OSI layers 1-4 and associated equipment.
* Detailed knowledge of Internet protocols and operation.
* Minimum of 6 to 10 years current experience implementing and supporting local and wide area networks in mission-critical, Unix/Linux centered, production datacenter environments for more than one company.
* Years experience with Layer4-7 Load Balancers, such as Cisco Local Director/CSS, F5 BigIP, or equivalent technology.
* Years experience in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc), and SNMP.
* Experience with firewall, VPN, and proxy technology, design, deployment, and support.
* Telco circuits management such as pots, ISDN, T1, T3, Point to Point and Frame Relay, etc.
* Experience with network performance analysis and troubleshooting and resolution of complex routing problems using common network tools, protocol analyzers, etc.
