A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to join our prestigious client based in Lisburn, Ireland.

Our client requires an onsite Network Engineer that can manage the infrastructure and perform administrative tasks on deskside systems for a 7 month fixed term contract.
Applicants MUST have the below skills:
* Experience working with and supporting network/server equipment
* Experience of hardware virtualization technologies
* Experience of Storage Area Networks
* Experience with networking and security platform design and administration
* Experience of Software configuration management tools
* IT operations, system administration, systems management experience in a UNIX/Linux & MS Windows based server environment
* Thorough understanding of network security aspects, common problems, and solutions (ACL, firewalls and VPN)
* Experience with commercial software development life cycles, associated processes and tools
* Tape backup experience

The below skills would be desirable:
* Experience working with Terminal Services and Citrix installations.
* Understanding of Firewalls and VPN
* Experience working with VMware ESX
* Experience working with HP SAN solutions

The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running as this is a 7 month fixed term contract with a rate of £25,000 – £30,000 pro rata.
