Network/Electronics Technician

Electronic technician, Electronic Technician, CCNA, Storage Systems, Network principles, Gateway set up,

Key requirements and responsibilities:
Diploma/Degree level qualification in Electronics, IT or related discipline.
Good general IT hardware knowledge
Working knowledge of a storage system, preferably EMC
Working knowledge of network principles
Fibre and Ethernet physical interface configuration
Sub-net, Mask and Gateway set-up
Demonstrable appreciation of general IP addressing schemes
CCNA- or TIA-certification a distinct advantage
General knowledge of server configuration (e.g. BIOS, RAID, etc.)
Good troubleshooting skills
Debug to sub-assembly level at a hardware level
Familiarity with generally available software tools to support debug
Familiarity with the management of general electronic components e.g. Motherboard PCBA, DIMM, Flash, power supplies and their external connectivity
Familiarity with general test equipment operation e.g. multi-meter, oscilloscope
Ability to follow complex test procedures conscientiously
Ability to follow general company SOP principles
Appreciation of Lean/Sigma manufacturing
