Our client is a solutions provider for the Software as a Service (SaaS) market, using the internet as a delivery platform to revolutionise the way businesses manage their accounts. An opportunity has arisen for a .NET & SQL Developer to join their team and work on their Cloud Accounting software products.

This is the ideal role for a unique and innovative developer with experience of ASP.NET, C#.NET or VB.NET and HTML, MVC, JavaScript and SQL Server looking to join a successful, fast-growing company. As a .NET & SQL Developer, you will be responsible for working with the Agile Development Team to implement new functionalities or refine existing products, including our client’s new Project Ledger. You will carry out core development activities in ASP.NET from the front end through to the back-end and write T-SQL stored procedures and functions in SQL Server.

Writing and executing unit, integration and system tests on both your own and others' code, you will contribute ideas to product design and product architecture. Additionally, you will participate in team retrospective, sprint planning and product demonstrations.

Interested? To be considered for this superb opportunity, you must have:

– At least two years' experience in ASP.NET, C#.NET or VB.NET, HTML4 & 5, CSS 2 & 3, JavaScript, MVC and SQL Server with specific reference to T-SQL – 2008 – 2012
– A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant IT discipline such as Computer Science

As a .NET & SQL Developer, you must possess first class interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. You should also be passionate about delivering high quality and innovative software solutions, with a confident, problem solving attitude.

Whilst not essential, experience of Web Services, jQuery or AJAX would be beneficial. Experience of DevExpress components would be equally favourable. Some knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks would be advantageous to your application.

Knowledge of SQL Reporting Services 2008 R2, as well as a good technical documentation writing skills would also be beneficial to your application, but they are by no means essential.
