An opportunity has now arisen for a .Net Developer / Software Developer to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a talented developer with a strong skill set, including .Net and C# skills, looking to further their career within a market leading company.

As a .Net Developer / Software Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing and documenting IT systems for use by customers, both large and small, and spread across a wide variety of industries.

You will be tasked with developing project task estimates and configuring applications in accordance to agreed specifications. Liaising with the Project Manager on systems development requirements, you will also prepare system tests and the required documentation.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

– Proven .Net development experience, gained within a commercial environment, using ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript and XML
– A degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering or another technical subject
– Database experience, including strong relational database design skills, SQL and experience of stored procedures, such as PL/SQL or equivalent
– Basic windows server administration experience, including IIS administration and .Net web application configuration
– A good understanding of underlying web standards outside ASP.NET; including HTML, XHTML, CSS and HTTP POST/GET

With your strong communication and problem solving skills, as a .Net Developer / Software Developer you should also have a thorough working knowledge of web programming database functionality. The ability to research and adapt to new technologies is also key.

Additionally, any experience of the following would be advantageous to your application: VB.Net, unmanaged .Net including C. WCF / Web Services, Windows Services, Silverlight, Basic DOS batch scripting, VBS, Perl or Bash.

The ideal .Net Developer / Software Developer will have strong OO design, design patterns knowledge and testing experience (including building unit tests, such as NUnit or web performance testing) but this is not essential.
