SoftCo develop Storage, Document & Business Process Automation solutions that reduce costs, streamline and improve key business processes, protect critical content over its entire lifecycle and enable organisations to meet compliance obligations. With over 900 customers across multiple industry sectors including logistics, financial services, healthcare, legal, and government, SoftCo is a global organisation with offices in Dublin, New York, London and Copenhagen.
Based in Dublin and reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the specification, design and development of .NET customisations for SoftCo customers. The successful applicant will gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle from specification to delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Customisation of software solutions to fulfil specific client requirements
• Liaising with Sales Team and Account Managers to provide estimates of development effort for potential sales
• Providing relevant support in creating functional specifications and development timelines with clients
• Delivering all development projects on time and within budget
• Regular reporting on project progress to key teams
Your Profile:
• A degree in computer science from a recognized University or Technical College
• Proven experience building .NET software applications
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET, ASP.NET, web development, HTML, JavaScript and Microsoft development technologies
• Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
• An enthusiasm for software development and emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Preferences:
• Strong database development skills and experience including database design and SQL programming
• Strong knowledge of .Net Framework 2.0, VS 2005
• Working knowledge of .Net Framework 3,0, .Net Framework 3.5, VS 2008, .Net Remoting and AJAX
• Development experience in Classic ASP and VB6 Knowledge and experience of Web Services technologies including XML, SOAP & WSDL
• Knowledge of newer Microsoft technologies such as WCF , WF , WPF and Silverlight would be an advantage
• Good understanding of project and product lifecycles
