Mobile Apps developer required for my Client based in London.
My Client are looking for an experienced iOS developer to head up their growing team. The company are just about to launch their products into the market and have a no. of high grade encrypted iOS applications including instant messenger, email services, VoIP and data storage. The successful candidate will be working the technical and non technical members of the team.
The following are the key skills and qualifications required:
Proven software development experience with an emphasis on iOS development. At least 5 years experience required.
Published examples of mobile apps available on the App store or Android Market
Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles
A track record of delivering successful consumer and or business products
Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape
Ability to multi task and good time management skills
Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
Essential skills:
No less than 5 years commercial experience in iOS application development and design.
At least 2 years experience of heading up development teams.
Detailed working knowledge of OO design and programming skills in C and Objective-C
Detailed working knowledge of iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc)
Detailed working knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
Understanding of other compiled languages
Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
Experience of development using web technologies
Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
Experience and understanding of building web and native apps
Experience using social media APIs
Main Responsibilities of the successful Mobile App Developer:
Assisting with the CTO producing reports for the none technical departments.
Working with the COO on deadlines and application distribution.
Deliver across the entire app life cycle -concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and realise products
Work closely with security and encryption engineers to ensure the high levels of encryption used on the network are upheld.
Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
Working with the front end developers to build the interface with focus on usability features
Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
My Client are looking for someone on a contract basis but are also considering permanent candidates.
