Mobile Development Manager

The Mobile Development Manager is expected to be a rigorous project manager as well as having exceptional experience in building all tiers of enterprise or mass market mobile applications.

The candidate will work with Product Managers to define scope and business requirements, develop solutions and deliver high quality systems. The candidate will develop exceptional communication skills across both technology and the business and maintain a high degree of visibility.

The Mobile Development Manager will be responsible for leading requirement gathering, business requirement analysis, and process documentation and follow through the SDLC process. Ability to work in high performance environment and meet the delivery timeline with high degree of client satisfaction. The appropriate candidate will continuously improve client service and seek strategic solutions and enhancements to business requirements.

Key responsibilities:

•Responsible for managing complex, global, large scale mobile projects, including design, development, implementation, risk and controls.
•Responsible for growing and leading a software development team, of permanent employees and contractors.
•Manage business/client relationships with the senior business leaders associated with this project; build and sustain strong relationships with these client groups.
•Work with the development teams and the Application and Domain architects in design and product selection.
•Ensure we have buy-in from all the stake-holders and track issues and manage project risks.
•Work with the right resources for defining a deployment strategy.
•Will co-ordinate with the Quality Control team.
•Oversee the development of scopes, budgets, time line documents.
•Monitor, update and communicate project timelines and milestones; obtain senior management feedback; understand potential speed bumps and client's true concerns/needs.

Knowledge/Experience:

•Experience of successfully managing and leading mobile software development projects and teams in the implementation of mobile applications (mobile web, native apps, SMS based applications).
•Demonstrated people and project management skills.
•5+ years of software development /architect experience with 5+ years of technology project management experience.
•Negotiation, difficult conversation management and prioritization skills.
•Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities.
•Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

•.NET development experience.

•Domain experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: Payments, Banking, Cash Management, Transaction Processing.
•Experience with managing projects in an agile environment.
•TIBCO Business Works/EMS would be advantageous.
