(Working Closely with Allen Recruitment) Our Client is looking for an experienced MI Solution Architect – Cognos to join their Information Management team and be responsible for design, development and deployment of Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) applications. The successful candidate would be required to have extensive experience with BI applications, specifically with the Cognos application suite.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the long term strategy for MI systems in collaboration with the Regional Enterprise Architecture team.
• Oversight of design and coding standards, establish and manage a framework to continuously monitor design and development activities
• Review software solution design documents to assure designs are in line with business requirements and technical standards.
• Review and sign off delivered components to ensure alignment with defined best practice e.g. design walk through, code review, unit or system test audit.

Experience Required:

• 4 years at Senior Application development level working in large scale data warehouse projects.
• Excellent development skills in Cognos 8.x and SQL/ETL.
