Localization Manager (Cork) €45K
Our client, a leading developer of software application for the automotive industry, has Adecco Ireland to assist in their search for an experienced Localization Manager.
Our clients localization department is an established innovation-driven and customer-focused group responsible for the global release of product content in international markets. They are now looking to source a Localization Manager for a position that will be based at their European Engineering Centre in Cork, Ireland

The Role
Key tasks and responsibilities:
-Lead a Core Team of Localization Engineers and Automation Developers with day to day focus and visibility on all business deliverables.
-Coordinate Localization Projects according to Resources, Budget, Schedule, Quality and Market Acceptance needs.
-Support a culture of Innovation and ever improving Process Improvement (RCI), which meets Business Strategic needs.
-Work closely with the Director of Engineering in defining Budgets, Scenario and Resource Planning, Defining Tactical and Strategic Goals for the Localization Function.
-Attend and contribute at peer level and associate level Meetings, Presentations and General Communications as required.
-Communicate Project Metrics and Trends, ANDON status, Risk analysis on an ongoing basis.
-Benchmark Business Partner Performance and Process efficiencies and bottlenecks.
-Communicate and drive Team Strategic and Tactical Goals.
-Foster and support Team Skills Development.
-Liaise with Finance Department to ensure full tracking of financial paperwork.
-Demonstrate a hands-on Management style by carrying out pressure point activities and learning by doing.
-Participate in Localization issue identification, prioritization and resolution of localization issues.
-Attend and contribute at bug review meetings.
-Appreciation of / Interest in Automotive Technology.
Essential skills and Competencies required for the role
-Degree Educated in IT discipline(s).
-Language Construct / Mutli-lingual skills are essential.
-Technical appreciation of Industry Standard Localization Tools and Processes (CAT tools experience is an advantage).
-L10N Engineering background is an advantage in this hands-on role.
-Demonstrate a track record in delivering high quality deliverables in zero tolerant schedule environments.
-Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office and MS Project experience – Apple MAC OS X / UNIX experience is an advantage.
-Excellent and timely Report Writing and Presentation Skills.
-Diligent and Flexible individual
-Desire to grow within the business
-A Team Player required to interact within Teams, with other departments, with external suppliers, with customers and stakeholders.
