Linux Sytem Administrator

Our client is looking for a contract Linux System Administrator fro a daily rate contract

B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong experience working with Linux
• RHEL4/5
• CentOS4/5
• Debian

• Experience working with Cisco IOS in an enterprise production environment

· Strong Experience working with a range of Open Source applications (Apache, Lighttpd, Tomcat, ActiveMQ, Nagios, Cacti, MySQL) and services (PXE, snmp, dns, dhcp/bootp, nfs)
• Strong scripting and programming skills (shell, python, awk, perl) and an ability to automate the deployment, update and administration of all infrastructure
• Strong in all aspects of TCP/IP and Network Theory, security implications and performance Experience working with 24×7 high-capacity production internet-based infrastructures
• Excellent leadership and teaming skills
• Experience with some or all of the following technologies:
• Installing, configuring and hardening Linux (multiple distros).
• Installing, configuring and hardening Microsoft OS/apps
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco Hardware (enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, load balancing) and Network Design
• Firewalls (Cisco, Netfilter/iptables)
• Working with and configuring Cisco IOS, Cisco PIX, Routing Protocols (BGP, VRRP, Spanning Tree Protocol) and Load Balancing
• Network and Security Hardware support skills.
• Security Auditing and Vulnerability Scanning
• Auditing, review and correlation of OS and application logs
• Network Monitoring
