Linux Support Engineer – Unix / Linux / AIX

A global leader in the Health Services sector is going through a period of expansion and require a Linux Support Engineer.
For the Linux Support Engineer the responsibilities are:
* Provide expertise in infrastructure and web tier operations and overall middle tier distributed systems
* May be involved in the administration and support of web tier and Middleware applications
* Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability
* Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems
* Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications
* May be involved in providing 24×7 on-call support of middleware applications as part of rotating team coverage
* Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications
Essential:
* 2 – 4 years experience with Redhat Linux or AIX
* 2 – 4 years experience with Redhat Satellite or equivalent
Desirable:
* Shell scripting capabilities
* SAN experience
* Veritas Clustering experience
* Z-Linux experience
* Oracle RAC experience
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
* Proficiency with MS Visio
* Healthcare Industry experience
