Level 2 Support Engineer with Field work
Candidates should have at least 2-4 years support experience with excellent troubleshooting & diagnostic skills. A particular emphasis is put on Microsoft AD and server applications etc. This is a customer-facing role so good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
 Service Area: Based in Dublin, clients nationwide
* Practical working knowledge of networking (including WAN topology, mixed LAN/WAN operating system environments, DNS/WINS/DHCP) up to Mid-Level Network Engineer standard.
* Excellent working knowledge of: Server & Desktop OS’s e.g. XP, Vista, Win7, Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, domains & user management. (To MCSE standard in a hands role). Experience in virtualization technology an advantage (particularly Hyper-V)
* Practical Field Service Engineer working knowledge of intermediate server hardware (including SCSI, RAID and I/O topology. Networks.. LAN. WAN.)
* Candidates need to be able to build and deploy all typical required hardware and software in a standard SME environment
* Knowledge of Anti Virus technology, backup solutions & best practices, on LAN Networks.
* Practical working knowledge of Microsoft SBS and Microsoft Exchange in a Field Service Engineer IT job.
* Good understanding of Firewalls & VPN technology/solutions. Checkpoint Firewall experience an advantage
* Experience in Remote Desktop Services an advantage, experience in Hyper-V an advantage.
Interview will include a technical exam.
Level 2 engineer Salary guide €30,000K to €35,000K per annum
