Junior Systems Administrator

FINEOS is currently seeking a Junior Systems Administrator for an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This role will involve working as part of the Infrastructure Services team based in Dublin. This team supports all levels of IT issues within a growing IT systems environment worldwide
.
The role requires:
· This role is very much "hands on" and will comprise mainly systems and software support and administration across multiple sites.
· Preferable 1 – 2 years experience in 1st and 2nd line support operating in a mainly Microsoft environment with good problem solving ability in IT support including hardware, software and networking.
· Ability to deal with users on a support level in a courteous manner.
A good knowledge of Windows and backoffice applications is required, including Windows2000 / 2003 Server, Active Directory administration, Windows 2000 / XP / Win7 desktop troubleshooting, MS Office applications, Exchange Server, Printing Services, IP Networks
· Knowledge of Unix / Linux desirable but not essential
· Knowledge of Server 2008 desirable but not essential
· A proven ability to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team providing IT support to a varied user base.
· An ability to play an active role in various IT projects.

Technical Requirements:
· Win 2000 / XP / Win7 – Desktop and Server
· Experience of working with Exchange Server 2003
· Printers support and basic maintenance
· Server / Desktop hardware configuration and basic maintenance
· Disaster Recovery / Backup procedures
· Experience with Routers and switches
· TCP/IP, LAN, VPN technologies desirable but not essential
· Knowledge of Linux desirable but not essential
