Junior Java Programmer LIMERICK

Jnr Java Programmer Limerick.

Our client is a well established dynamic software company in the fast paced telecommunications sector. They have retained PBRecruitment to identify one junior Java Production Engineer for their Limerick facility. This is a permanent job, offering the unique opportunity to work on one of the largest Java projects in Europe!

Skills/experience required;
Relevant third level qualification (ideally at Degree level) in Computer Science or Engineering required. Masters based on programming related thesis would be an advantage, as would Sun Java Certification. A solid background in web based software development lifecycle, with at least 12 mths intensive Java programming is essential for this role.
In addition, skills in any of the following would be ideal, but are not essential:
J2EE, EJB, STRUTS, JSPs, Java Swing, XMLXSL, Web Services, app servers (Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss), Linux, database/SQL, Extreme Programming.
Excellent interpersonal skills and lots of drive are also required!
This is an ideal career opportunity for a recant Computer Science graduate with circa 8 – 15 mths Java experience. A written Java exam is the first step in my client’s recruitment process, and the successful candidates will then onto final interview stage with the successful job holder hopefully commencing employment in either August or September.
