[b]Java Systems Operations Engineer Global Telco[/b]
We are seeking an experienced systems operations engineer to work with a leading telco as a key member of the team with responsibility for a range of web applications deployed to clients which will include applications, operating systems, databases, networks, 3rd party software etc.
The role will also involve an element of international travel to client sites and the implementation of services.
Responsibilities will include diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving problems within a limited time frame. Liaising directly with customers and working with external software & hardware vendors. Installation of maintenance releases.
[b]Your profile[/b]
You will ideally have worked within a similar type position for a number of years
Experience working with Solaris 9,10, Linux, & scripting
Background within java web applications (Tomcat) essential
TCP/IP networking skills
A telco/web background is preferred.
