JAVA/J2EE PERM OPPORTUNITY
4 years IT experience 2 years Java/J2EE, ideally from an Insurance background, but will consider Banking / Financial Services, for a permanent positions. Location is flexible and salary is competitive with attractive benefits.
My client is a household name in Insurance in Ireland. They are currently working on a large-scale project on their core business system. As part of this they have a requirement for a good Java / J2EE developer with 3 years experience. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent package, that includes a performance related bonus.
Duties and Scope of Role
• Delivery & support of financial services business systems
• Working on new projects & existing system enhancements through J2EE/Java
• Working with business managers to define innovative & efficient system solutions
• Analysis, design & development of application systems according to business needs
• Provide support for the business in development life cycle, from requirements gathering through to testing and post implementation

Skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 years Java development experience
• Experience in front-end applications
• Proven track record in delivery of systems projects in financial services industry
• Excellent knowledge of Java,J2EE deployments
• Ideally with: Websphere, Web Services, Eclipse, JAXB, JSP, JSF & HTML.
