JAVA DEVELOPER – HIGH TRANSACTION SYSTEMS

A multinational financial services and technology company seeks an exceptional JAVA DEVELOPER with 5 years experience to maintain and improve high transaction, low latency financial platforms.
The successfull candidate will have at least 5 years Core Java development experience coupled with first-class problem-solving abilities and ideally a first class honours degree.
Job Description
An experienced Core Java Developer is required to work on proprietary trading strategies that will run on high-performance, electronic trading platform.
Responsibilities include improving the scalability, performance and efficiency of existing strategies. This position involves strong collaboration with end users to research and prototype new strategies.
Job Qualifications
5 years or more Core Java Development
Experience working within high-performance and scalable systems
First-class problem-solving abilities within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Analytic ability
Strong mathematical aptitude; background in math, physics, or statistics is a plus
Experience in distributed and/or highly concurrent systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills

While financial services experience is not required an interest in trading and financial markets is highly preferred.
