Role: – Java Engineer (Eclipse Developer)
Essential:
Experience in user interface design using Eclipse RCP (Rich Client Platform) is the main competence requirement.
The client is using the JFACE and SWT parts of RCP to design user interfaces.
Majority of work will involve designing new user interfaces and fixing bugs, so general experience building user interfaces would be good, and be familiar with aspects like usability.
User interface design using Eclipse RCP (Jface and SWT)
Highly Desirable:
OSGi
Continuous Integration (Maven, Hudson)
Previous experience of working with server-side Equinox?
Design experience in some or all of the following technologies…..Spring Framework, Eclipse RCP, OSGI, Active M messaging, Sybase IQ., JDO (Java Data Objects), Apache ANT, CruiseControl, Xmls
There are 3mth/6mth contracts on offer with the client with the potential for multiple renewals.
