Java Contractor Developer
The Project:

An enterprise solution for core business processes.
• Delivery of the project is in 4 phases (chunks)
• Development and rollout of first and second chunk completed in early May
• Subsequent chunks commenced in May 2010

The Role:

The person appointed will become a member of the core project team with responsibility for development and maintenance of the business application deliverable. Must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, fluency in coding, good communication skills, and an enthusiasm for tackling complex problems.

Will be expected to
• Develop and implement enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects
• Work independently and be a good team player

Technologies:

The person appointed will bring a comprehensive knowledge of the software industry’s best practise, software quality indicators, verification and control.
The technologies in use are:
• Java / J2EE
• EMC Documentum
• Lombardi Teamworks
• Oracle Database

The Person:

Will have
• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Software Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Java / J2EE Web application development and support roles
• Hands on knowledge of Java / J2EE deployments, Weblogic, Eclipse ,JSP, SVN
• Development experience using Struts / Spring framework
• Good communication skills essential

Desirable experience/skills:

• Experience of writing JUnits will be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of iBatis preferred
• Automation of build and deployment
• Expertise in SQL
• BPM and workflow solutions
• Experience of integration with Content Management Systems
