We are currently recruiting for an IT Team Lead to support, develop and maintain I.T. infrastructures for our client in Co. Kerry. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will deliver excellent technical support to employees, conduct interactions with your helpdesk team and manage daily tasks of the helpdesk and infrastructure team.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of SAN, VMware hosts, on-site datacentres
- Ownership of local network, device and information security
- Implementation of in-house security analyses and vulnerability scanning
- Overseeing networking/zoning and firewall (concept, hardware management is partly provided)
- Ownership of helpdesk function, including management of first/2nd level support processes and escalation paths to 3rd level
- Disaster recovery / business continuity planning and execution
- Developing, maintaining documentation for use by users, the other IT team leaders and helpdesk
Qualifications & Competences:
- A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline
- A security certification/qualification – ideally ISO 27001
- 3+ years management of an enterprise VMware environment
- 3+ years management of SAN infrastructure
- Network management
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies – AD, Teams, Office365, Group Policy/Security
- Relevant certifications:- Microsoft, Cisco, VMware. Experience in cloud technologies (Advantageous)
- Monitoring/control of system room environments / small datacentres (Advantageous)
- Previous experience of JIRA / Confluence / SharePoint (Advantageous)
- Experience/qualifications in project management and/or implementation/rollout projects (Advantageous)
