The Role: IT Support Team Lead

The Opportunity
This is a new and exciting role in a fast growing business focused on providing a high quality, outsourcing offering across a diverse range of business verticals in the both private and public arena. Backed by Bertelsmann AG and supported by arvato’s global network of businesses, you will be joining arvato Services at the start of an exciting journey with one of our most prestigious clients – Microsoft.
Working in effectively a green field environment this is an excellent opportunity to define processes, build key relationships and drive best practice using ITIL

Duties & Responsibilities
•Responsible for hardware support for approximately 500 PCs
•Purchasing and configuration of new hardware
•Financial management and cost tracking
•Basic software support as required
•Liaising with business management to establish future requirements.
•Liaising with Microsoft support teams to keep up to speed on requirements etc.
•Plan work for the team (initially one other technician)
•Regular status reporting
•Hardware configuration and support
•OS installation and setup (Microsoft)
•Skilled in Work, Excel, PowerPoint
•Basic generic software support
•Network configuration and support
•Some on-call support required during peaks in business

Skills & Experience

•A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
•Previous experience in a large end user environment and using ITIL
•Proven ability to lead a small team including mentoring and coaching
•Excellent ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
•Ability to consolidate business needs and plan work accordingly
•Ability to define, agree, implement and continuously improve new processes e.g. purchasing, asset tracking etc.
•Positive “can do” attitude
