Midas Technologies is looking for an IT Support professional to take a lead position within their client’s manufacturing operations. The candidate will be managing the company’s Plant Management System, take the lead on various projects and report/analyse KPI’s for company records.
The successful candidate will be in charge of the creation, maintenance and control of the Plant Management System’s master data. Also, as part of the responsibilities, supporting functions such as; troubleshooting, issue resolution (escalating support issues to the appropriate avenue), maintaining and updating documentation to ensure correct and timely records, Stock management of hardware spares.
The candidate should be an innovative thinker, supporting user requirements, as well as able to provide training to users and IT Support by phone, email and through the in-house Helpdesk system.
This is a permanent role based in the Midlands.
Key requirements of the role:
+ 3 years of experience in a similar role
Third level qualification in relevant discipline
Experience with software applications, PC’s, printers, phones, smartphones, tablets and various other hardware
Management experience, while also being able to work in a team
Experience working in the Microsoft environment; Windows/Active Directory/Office/Exchange
Ethernet/TCP-IP Network connectivity troubleshooting abilities
Flexibility to travel to different sites, full clean driving licence
Proven project implementation and delivery experience
Must be an effective time-manager
Outstanding English and communication skills
Desirable:
Good working experience of SQLServer, database administration and using a reporting tool in conjunction with a SQL database is an advantage
Experience configuring, interfacing with and maintaining data input and capture devices in a production environment
