Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. Due to expansion, they are now looking for an IT Server Engineer to join their team.

As an IT Server Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of our client’s IT systems. You’ll also provide 2nd and 3rd line support to customers experiencing any server issues.

Keeping abreast of the latest security standards and best practice, you’ll manage and maintain a variety of systems. This will include server software and hardware, virtual environments, the MS Exchange infrastructure and Windows based domain controls.

You’ll liaise with customers to quickly identify, troubleshoot and resolve any server service problems. Additionally, you’ll work with colleagues and third party suppliers to ensure that the server farms and LAN environments are fully functioning.

To be considered, you must have a Windows Server 2008 MCITP certification. At least one year’s experience of the following is also essential:

– Technical helpdesk support
– Designing, implementing and maintaining Windows Server domains and domain controllers, including Microsoft Active Directory
– Setting up and maintaining MS Exchange Server 2010 and above

Focused and resourceful, as an IT Server Engineer, you must have an analytical mindset and strong communication skills. A pragmatic approach to problem-solving is also key.

Experience of working with secure desktop management technologies would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of Linux and/or Unix.
