My client has just contacted me looking for an IT Project Manager for their office in Galway City. This is a 12 month fixed term contract role. Below is an outline of the role for you to asses. This role will incorporate all project life cycle deliverables from project initiation through to implementation and rollout activities. Key to the success of the role will be management of a team of developers to achieve quality project delivery to agreed timelines, and active management of all project stakeholders.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Leading the Project Initiation process
Defining the project work breakdown and project plan, and active management of this plan
Management of all IT technical deliverables for the project.
Management of a team of IT professionals.
Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project life cycle.
Delivery of project reporting
Active stakeholder management
Project risk, issue and dependency management
Oversight of all project implementation activities.
Implementation of production support services for post-project support.
Work closely with IT teams to utilise wider IT resources for project needs.

Principal Qualification / Requirements:

3 years Project Management experience in delivery of complex technical project environments.
Experience of customer relationship management
Strong team and people management skills
Knowledge of website/web service and Microsoft development technologies and methods
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
Project Management Qualification
Strong communication skills.
Self motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical skills with ability to learn quickly.
