IT Programme Manager

realTime Recruitment is seeking an IT Programme Manager for the Financial Services Sector.
This is initially a 6 month Contract that could lead to a Permanent role for the right candidate.
This role will be based in Cork.
My client requires an exceptional candidate, who has significant experience rolling out and managing IT Projects.
The successful candidate will manage a team of 18 engineers (including approx. 6 System Administrators)
The main technologies required for the IT Programme Manager are:
Oracle, VMWare, Linux
Experience working in a cloud / Dell environment is an advantage
The ideal IT Programme Manager candidate will:
Be 80% Technical and 20% organisationally and strategy wise
Have demonstrated ability to drive the plan home and not get side tracked
Have a strong understanding of the technical aspect, well enough to question the thought mechanism in what they are planning / have planned to do and be able to put that into context in line with business needs
The key to being successful in this IT Programme Manager role is in the Pre-planning.
