IT Operations Assistant Manager
To assist the Head of IT ensuring that the Company’s technology runs in an efficient and effective manner. Primarily responsible for proactively managing technical projects and the service delivery from all levels of support. To act as an intermediary between day to day operations and management.
Impact on the Business
· To proactively manage the IT Operational and Infrastructural projects with a focus on delivering quality and excellence through technical support.
· Manage and maintain a high level of communication with Team Leads based in the SSO for 1st level support.
· Ensure the continued success and development of all IT Operation’s Services in Ireland
· Develop system wide improvements to the IT Infrastructure
· Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities
· Own, test and document all Disaster Recovery responsibilities for IT Operations
Leadership & Teamwork
- Provide training and development of IT personnel.
- Act as Head of IT at times of incumbent’s absence/leave/travel
- Deputy Manager for Desktop & Infrastructure Support Personnel
- Ensure the team delivers on its service level agreements and customer satisfaction KPIs are met and exceeded.

Qualifications/ Experience
- Third level qualification in Information Technology.
- MCP or equivalent qualification
- ITIL or related service delivery certification
- Excellent Leadership skills, team building and motivation
- 4-5 proven experience years in a busy technical support environment
- Strong managerial, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience of planning / simulating disaster recovery scenarios;
- Network change management and configuration;
- Proven vendor management capabilities;
