Our client provides proven, high quality medical supplies including medical equipment and medical consumables, to hospitals, pharmacies, primary care, emergency services and community care in Ireland and the UK. They are an innovative, creative and flexible company that is completely customer-focused in everything that they do. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Manager to join their team.

In this diverse role you will be responsible for our client’s IT function. This position will encompass a wide variety of duties, from general systems administration, through to web development.

As the IT manager you will be tasked with supporting and training internal users of our client’s systems. This will include maintaining servers, desktops, laptops and phones. You will also design and develop internet based applications for the company, in addition to maintaining our client’s sales section of the website.

Your other duties will include:

– Managing IT security and the firewall system, updating the security procedures when necessary
– Database administration, design and development
-Supporting and maintaining all internal network services
– Assisting the senior management in special projects to increase the functionality of current systems capabilities

To be considered for this position, you must have:

– Experience of SQL Server database design and development, including experience of writing SQL queries and designing Crystal Reports
– Experience of using ASP.NET, C#, VB and Visual Studio
– Strong HTML, JavaScript, XML and CSS skills
– A degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related discipline
– An understanding of e-commerce systems

As the IT Manager, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative. A proactive and organised approach is also key.
