IT Infrastructure Projects Analyst

Purpose:
Work within the Infrastructure group and
•Coordinate network/server related projects owned by IT Infrastructure
•Lead the Infrastructure element of projects owned by other IT groups or business partners.
Responsibilities:
•Coordination and implementation of network infrastructure projects.
•Site LAN/WAN upgrades/Support.
•Site VoIP/Telephony upgrades/Support.
•Site Server Room/Communication Room upgrades/Support.
•Implementation of Regional/Global Infrastructure Projects to assist Site/Business Areas.
•To support and maintain highly resilient Infrastructure for critical manufacturing/business teams.
•Creation and maintenance of project documentation, including; project business case, project charters, project plans and communication plans.
•Working with Business Partners/Self to complete Installation and qualification of new network/server infrastructure.
•Ensure conformance of solutions implemented to company standards and policies (e.g. Computer Systems Quality)
•Establish effective relationships with site business partners and external service providers.
•Ensure all new equipment is installed and qualified in accordance with applicable policies and procedures an
•Ensure that existing systems are upgraded and maintained in a qualified state.
•Help maintain excellent level of support/outage coordination as to minimise production related Infrastructure Issues.
•Complete duties in compliance with the Company’s Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
Experience:
Essential
•Degree in Computer Science & Networks or equivalent
•Excellent Knowledge of Cisco Networks, Switches, Routers, Access Points (CCNA Certification etc) and Windows Server/Client OS
•Excellent Knowledge of structured Infrastructure cabling UTP and Fibre Distribution
•Excellent Knowledge of Computer/Communication Room UPS/Cooling support.
•Experience of coordinating medium sized technical projects
•Experience in Cisco VoIP/Telephony/PABX
•Experience of working closely with business partners in installing and qualifying network/server/process automation/engineering projects.
•Good communication skills, verbal and written
•Strong self management and team-working skills
