Our client is an expert in SaaS platforms and secure online data protection. Using only the best products, they work with a wide variety of customers. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Analyst to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a high calibre engineer with experience of data centre, infrastructure as a service or platform as a service environments, looking to further their career within a successful company.

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Analyst you will be responsible for implementing and supporting IT infrastructure for clients.

Working with a range of industries, including medical practices, financial and legal firms, you will be tasked with supporting the day to day running of the managed IT infrastructure provided by our client. You will also provide backup solutions for companies.

To be considered for this position, you must:

– Be highly competent in Windows Server 2008
– Have a good background in Virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMWare)
– Have commercial experience gained within in a related role, such as within a data centre or infrastructure environment
– Have experience of MS System Centre VMM and Operations Manager 2007, Terminal Services, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory and backup solutions

As an Infrastructure Engineer / Analyst you must have a passion for IT and a good knowledge of IT systems and technologies. A strong customer focus and excellent communication skills are also key.

Although not essential, experience gained within an IT managed services environment or another customer facing IT role would be an advantage to your application, as would experience of using Hyper-V. Experience of using Linux (SUSE or RedHat), Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls) or of technical writing and proposals would also be beneficial to your application.
