Our client is a leading edge software development and professional services company. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Business Development Manager / IT Sales Manager to join their team.

This is a superb opportunity for a high calibre sales professional with account management experience gained within the IT sector, looking to further their career with a leading company.

As an IT Business Development Manager / IT Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing excellent relationships with existing customers and selling our client’s mapping and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) solutions.

Your focus will be on managing the accounts of around 30 blue-chip clients. You will be tasked with up selling our client’s products and solutions wherever possible in addition to developing new business. Although office based, you will be required to visit client sites to meet with your customers.

To be considered for this position, you must have significant sales experience, gained within the IT/technology sector, which includes both new business development and account management.

As an IT Business Development Manager / IT Sales Manager you should have a commercial focus and good negotiation skills. You must also be an effective communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.

Although not essential, previous experience with GIS would be an advantage to your application. Experience gained within the local government or telecommunications sectors would also be beneficial.
